A Columbia, SC Sheriff's Deputy Wounded in a Shooting Over Drug Raid
COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) - A Richland County Sheriff’s Deputy has been wounded in a shooting off Laredo Drive near Broad River Road and I-20. That’s near Columbia High School. Richland County Sheriff’s Department spokesperson Lt. Chris Cowan tells WIS News 10 both the deputy and a suspect were shot. Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott confirmed the suspect in the shooting was killed. Authorities say the suspect fired shots from the bedroom of the home.
