Today, January 30, 2009, during the 2009 Republican National Committee‘s (RNC) annual winter meeting, being held in Washington, D.C., from January 28 through January 31, 2009, the RNC is voting to elect a new chairman for the Republican Party. 168 members and proxies are eligible to vote during this election. 85 votes are required to represent a majority.
