The fact that this horrendous practice takes place in the United States of America should come as no surprise. After all, abortion, the intentional taking of innocent human life in the womb, is legal in America, for any reason. However, many people do not know that includes the practice of gendercide, the intentional killing of a child because of his or her gender.
As a Nation we have rightly decried the intentional abortion of baby girls in India and China. We know that the practice of gendercide reveals and compounds the horrid reality of discrimination against women at every level of those societies.
