Paula Deen Apology Video

paula-deen-apology-videoAfter spending all day soul searching and trying to figure out how to deal with what I did, I recorded a video trying to do the right thing. In the end, I felt that I needed to just be myself, say I am sorry and beg for forgiveness.

What I said was wrong and hurtful. I know that and will do everything that I can do make it right. I am not about hate, and I will devote myself to showing my family, friends and fans how to live a life helping others, lifting us all up, and spreading love.

There seems to be some confusion about Paula Deen’s Political affiliation, left-wingers have condemned Deen based on sketchy news reports,  have suggested that she run for office as a Republican or get that job over at Racist Fox News.  Problem is Paula Deen is a Democrat and campaigned for Obama in 2008.

The Food Network star campaigned for Obama back in 2008, and invited his wife Michelle to cook with her during an episode of Paula’s Party. Later, she said she “just loved” being around the First Lady, and praised her platform: encouraging kids and young adults to eat healthy and get plenty of exercise.

What did she say?

[W]hen asked if she wanted black men to play the role of slaves at a wedding she explained she got the idea from a restaurant her husband and her had dined at saying, “The whole entire waiter staff was middle-aged black men, and they had on beautiful white
jackets with a black bow tie.

“I mean, it was really impressive. That restaurant represented a certain era in America… after the Civil War, during the Civil War, before the Civil War…It was not only black men, it  was black women…I would say they were slaves.” –

Michelle Obama and Paula Deen Talking About Pimski

Maybe before we Crucify Paula Deen for our Sins, Maybe we should consider Jesus, “He without sin, cast the first stone”

Maybe President Obama should give Paula Deen call since he doesn’t seem to have trouble with people using the N-Word in Music.  It would probably be an example in forgiveness for us to model ourselves after.  Will Obama make a call like that or is his telephone reserved for newly out homosexuals or progressive women who have been attacked in the media?
