Obama heads to Leno August 6

President Obama became the first sitting president to appear on late-night when he visited The obama-on-lenoTonight Show With Jay Leno in March 2009. Now he is set to return to the NBC show August 6 — it will be his sixth appearance, the most recent one coming in October. That pre-election visit resulted in a big ratings boost for the now departing Leno.

According to White House Press Secretary Jay Carney today, the President will be giving an economic policy speech near Phoenix earlier on the day of the 6th before taping with Leno in Burbank.
