He was always kidding me about being DINO. He is very fiscally conservative, like family. That is what works for repubs in that district. But they have a more libertarian bent, as do most northern conservatives. If you push them out of the party, I will gladdly take them. I would like to see the Dems become the party of intelligent budgeting, and libertarian socially. I.e., stay out of my back yard and I'll stay out of yours. I work with her son. I just wrote a post on the U.S. Senate itself. I argue that it was designed with discordant goals and that it should be more like the European Council in the EU in representing State governments.
