July 28, 2009 politisite 0

They lied. They lied. They lied. Let’s repeat that one more time: They lied: Despite their denials, influential Democratic Sens. Kent Conrad and Chris Dodd were told from the start they were getting VIP mortgage discounts from one of the nation’s largest lenders, the official who handled their loans has told Congress in secret testimony. Both senators have said that at the time the mortgages were being written they didn’t […]

TARP, the stimulus bill, massive debts our children and grandchildren will have to pay .. and what has this all brought us? Banks aren’t lending, businesses aren’t hiring – let along expanding – and consumers aren’t buying. Oh, to […]

CEO Carly Fiorina, by only four points, 45%-41%. Boxer has never been terribly popular in the Golden State, but given the conditions Democrats have enjoyed the past few years, it is surprising to see her in Elizabeth Dole 2007 […]

July 25, 2009 politisite 0

Your Thoughts On Health Care By now you’ve read about President Obama’s proposed government takeover of our health care system, and hopefully you’ve read my conservative alternative, “The Health Care Freedom Plan.” Earlier this week President Obama accused me of playing politics with health care, but the truth that is that the President’s promises have rarely agreed with his policies. Cash for Clunkers Dealers Must Destroy Engines to Prevent Fraud

July 24, 2009 politisite 0

One problem with the Cash for Clunkers program is it takes cheap cars off the street for poor folks. The program essentially makes every car, no matter the condition, worth $4500.00. By doing so those of modest means cannot find an automobile for a better price. Now with the directive to chemically destroy the vehicles, the reasonable used car market is destroyed as well. In addition, this program makes engine car parts scarce as well.
This program is just another example of a poorly thought out program that does not help the poor.
