Rising SC GOP star Nikki Haley denies affair with Blogger

May 24, 2010 Politisite 0

Politics as usual in South Carolina, 1 week after Nikki Haley takes the lead in the Governor Race, rumors fly about an affair between a local blogger three years ago. Haley responded, “I have been 100 percent faithful to my husband throughout our 13 years of marriage,” Haley said in a statement released to a local television station. “This claim against me is categorically and totally false.”
Political Operatives keep what is called an “ace in the hole” for such game changers like Sarah Palin coming to the State House and endorse Haley. Prior to that, Attorney General McMaster was in the lead.
Following the Rasmussen Poll last week, attack politics ensued. Here a a great example of how Republicans eat their own in attempt to be top dog.
South Carolina is full of bloggers who are Paid by party politics and Public Relations firms. It is very important here in Columbia to now who is being paid by who, when reading local blogs. Many times you can see the skew even without knowing who is paying them.
The blogger in question is Will Folks, who wrote in his blog, ” The truth in this case is what it is. Several years ago, prior to my marriage, I had an inappropriate physical relationship with Nikki. That’s it.
Notice that Folks made sure to say this happened before his marriage. True or not he makes sure he come out as the ‘innocent one’
Haley called this a, “disgraceful smear”, “It is quite simply South Carolina politics at its worst.”
