Transparency? Biden advance team confines reporter at fundraiser

Its just words, “The most transparent Presidency in History” rings like when Nancy Pelosi  said she would run the “most ethical Congress in history”.. Just words.  President Obama has run in to the very thing his claimed he would not become,  just another leader who uses Rhetoric without action.  The whole “change” thing has become no change at all.  Now Biden, well, we all knew he would be a comedians delight.  This thing with the reporter, that is a violation of ones basic civil rights.  No joke there.
Vice President Joe Biden gave a speech last Wednesday in Florida.  The occasion was a $500-per-head fundraiser for Democrat Senator Bill Nelson.  The Orlando Sentinel was the press-pool-on-point to cover the event for the people of the United States of America.

The Sentinel sent one reporter.  Said reporter was immediately confined by a Biden advance-team member to a storage closet, given a bottle of water and kept inside by a Biden thug at the closet door.  Biden’s prepared speech — but nothing whatsoever else — got “covered” for the people of the U.S.A.  And the intrepid press-pool-on-point “reporter” limped back to the Sentinel with his little tail between his legs, happy to have had a little water to drink and a cell phone to keep him company during his confinement.
Wimp is too mild a word.

At least one dinner guest later took exception:

One of the fundraiser attendees emailed the Orlando Sentinel: “I was in attendance at the fundraiser and enjoyed a nice lunch. If I had known there was a reporter stuffed in the closet, I would have been compelled to stand up and demand answers. I would also like to know if this is actually legal to treat people like caged animals. I’m disgusted by these actions.”

Disgusted enough to put a “stop payment” on the donation check? Unlikely.

Alan Ginsburg, owner of the home (look at a picture of this carbon footprint… I can’t believe Al Gore hasn’t made an offer on it), later apologized:

On Friday, Powers said, the home’s owner called him. “He said he had no idea they’d put me in a closet and was very sorry. He said he was just following their lead and was extremely embarrassed by the whole thing.”

I’d hate to se

Biden Team Apologizes to Reporter for Sticking Him In Closet

“Scott – You have our sincere apologies for the lack of a better hold room today,” wrote Vice President Biden spokeswoman Elizabeth Alexander last Wednesday to Orlando Sentinel reporter Scott Powers.

“Lack of a better hold room” is an interesting way of putting it. In order to keep Powers from mingling with guests at a Democratic fundraiser last Wednesday, Powers was escorted into a storage closet by a Biden staffer.

e what they’d have stowed away the reporter if his newspaper wouldn’t have endorsed Obama in 2008.
