Obama FOIA requests go unanswered, Mother Jones Wants Huckabee Docs – Hypocrisy?

Here is where you can ascertain the political leanings of a publication.  After harassing the so call “Birthers” for asking for simple documents like a Birth Certificate, education records, and legislative activities for the current occupant of the White House, Mother Jones, who frequents MSNBC, is going wild over Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) Requests over Mike Huckabee while he was the Governor of Arkansas.

What are they looking for?  While most left-wingers are for rehabilitation of hardened criminals and against the death penalty, if one of such should be given a pardon, and the Governor happens to be a Republican, all hell will break loose.

There are a few other things they wish to “fish” for, but it sure seems fishy that the standard for a past Governor is set higher than a sitting President.

This from Mother Jones”

There’s a Mike Huckabee mystery that won’t go away.

Send a public records request seeking documents from his 12-year stint as Arkansas governor, as Mother Jones did recently, and an eyebrow-raising reply will come back: The records are unavailable, and the computer hard drives that once contained them were erased and physically destroyed by the Huckabee administration as the governor prepared to leave office and launch a presidential bid.

In 2007, during Huckabee’s campaign for the GOP presidential nomination, the issue of the eradicated hard drives surfaced briefly, but it was never fully examined, and key questions remain. Why had Huckabee gone to such great lengths to wipe out his own records? What ever happened to a backup collection that was provided to a Huckabee aide?
