GOP Taps Bob Turner to go against Weprin to Grab Weiner’s seat

It’s Turner vs. Weprin, and the winner gets to be the next Weiner.

Bob Turner, who ran against the now-disgraced congressman in 2010, was nominated Friday by the Republicans to be their party’s choice to fill the vacant congressional seat.

Turner, a retired businessman, will square off against the Democrats‘ candidate, Assemblyman David Weprin, in a Sept. 13 special election.
