NRA to meet with Biden’s Task Force on Guns

The National Rifle Association will send a representative to meet with Vice President Joseph R. Biden’s task force on gun violence this week, a spokesman for the group said Tuesday.

BidenJoeThe group received an invitation to attend late Friday, said spokesman Andrew Arulanandam.

“We are sending a rep to hear what they have to say,” he said.

The task force will meet with gun safety groups and gun victims’ groups on Wednesday and sportsmans’ and gun ownership groups on Thursday.

The NRA has advocated adding armed guards to schools to prevent future mass shootings in the wake of the rampage that saw 26 people, including 20 children, murdered at a Connecticut elementary school last month.
