Michael McConnell over at Wall Street Journal reminds readers of Article II, Section 3, of the Constitution, which states the president “shall take Care that the Laws be faithfully executed.” McConnell also highlights this is not a “discretionary power,” but instead is a duty entrusted to the president of the united States of America.
It is also a duty Barack Obama fails to fulfill on a regular basis, the latest of which is the example McConnell is using where Obama arbitrarily decided to suspend the employer mandate of Obamacare, despite the fact that the law requires it to go into effect by January 2014.
The exact language in Section 1513(d) states “The amendments made by this section shall apply to months beginning after December 31, 2013.”
