Kerry to speak on Syria at 12:30 p.m.

Secretary of State John Kerry will make the Obama administration’s case on Syria Friday at 12:30 p.m. So where is President Obama to make the case for a Syria attack?  That would be unpopular!

Politico says:

John_Kerry_officialKerry will not take questions, an aide said.

Kerry arrived at the White House shortly after 10 a.m. Friday. President Barack Obama is meeting with his National Security Council to “discuss the use of chemical weapons by the Assad regime on August 21,” a White House official said.

Kerry is due to speak a day after the British House of Commons rejected joining U.S.-led military action against Syrian President Bashar Assad.
