Anthony Weiner was in total meltdown mode on Wednesday, engaging in an extended shouting match with an observant Jewish man on the eve of a major Jewish holiday — all caught on YouTube for the world to witness.
“What rabbi taught you that? What rabbi taught you that you’re my judge?” the New York City mayoral hopeful said to a man in a yarmulke during a campaign stop, the day before Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year.
The exchange, which was captured by blogger Jacob Kornbluh and took off on Twitter, started when Weiner responded angrily to a comment made as he was exiting a bakery.
(QUIZ: Do you know Anthony Weiner?)
“Yeah, it takes one to know one, jackass,” he said, chewing with his mouth full. “What’s that? What’s that? You wait until I walk out to say anything, that’s courage, that’s courage.”
The man leveling comments — identified by Politicker as Saul Kessler — admonished Weiner to think about his wife and to stay out of the public eye.
Maybe Anthony Weiner should take direction from the New Iranian President
