Misleading Landrieu ad attacks Koch Brothers

Senator Mary Landrieu is up for reelection in Louisiana – Her latest ad attack the Koch Brothers saying they have opposed flood Insurance for Louisiana residents.  The Washington Post fact checkers gave he as Four Pinocchios.

Landrieu failed to mention that she has taken 55,000 of Campaign Contributions from the Koch Brothers.

Sen. Mary Landrieu of Louisiana has taken $55,000 in Koch money since the 2000 cycle. Former Senate Democrats Max Baucus, Blanche Lincoln and Ben Nelson took Koch cash in 2010. And Sen. Chuck Schumer of New York got $1,000 in the same year.

Since 2000, KochPAC has given more than $1.4 million to Democratic candidates, leadership PACs and party committees, according to numbers compiled by Congressional Quarterly’s Moneyline.

As it stands right now, Senator Landrieu is losing to Opponent Republican Bill Cassidy by 2.4% in the Real Clear Politics Average and by 4% in the Politisite Political Projection for the Louisiana Senate Race.

So why not lie?  I mean, she has lied about ObamaCare.

Politifact- Says the Koch brothers “funded the fight to let flood insurance premiums soar … Now they’re spending millions to buy a Senate seat for Bill Cassidy so he can fight for them.”- Mostly False

  1. Well just what part is false and what part is true? It matters to the tens of thousands of us who are still trying to get back after Sandy. Obviously no matter what our political persuasion not one of us will vote to do anything but lessen the horrors of FEMA AND NFIP INSURANCE.

The is a losing issue that just keeps growing with every storm or flood be it from the ocean, a brook, a stream, a river or a lake. And it involves many more States than you have listed.
