Read the Lawsuit – PDF: Miller v. Division of Elections complaint Alaska’s bitterly contested Senate election went to state court Monday when Republican Joe Miller sued the state over the way write-in ballots for his GOP rival have been counted. Alaska Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska) has officially prevailed in her uphill write-in re-election bid, with the AP calling her the victor against the official Republican nominee, Joe Miller.
Problem is two conflicting laws prevail. One says the name must be accurate and another says the intent of the voter should be considered. My last name is Milliron. If someone writer Milleron what would the intent of the vote be. The other law would eliminate that vote due to it not being written exactly as my last name.
