National Public Radio has fired journalist Juan Williams over remarks he made on Fox News about Muslims, the network announced Thursday. Williams was asked by Bill O’Reilly during Fox’s “The O’Reilly Factor” earlier this week whether the U.S. is facing a “Muslim dilemma.” According to an NPR statement, Williams responded: “Look, Bill, I’m not a bigot. You know the kind of books I’ve written about the civil rights movement in […]
Dem Rep. Ed Perlmutter slapped GOP challenger Ryan Frazier, a veteran, during their debate while arguing over Obamacare. Via Jammie Wearing Fool: Michael Sadoval at NRO reported on the incident: Democratic Rep. Ed Perlmutter and GOP challenger Ryan Frazier verbally sparred over many issues, from energy and taxes to foreign policy and the national debt. But it was during an exchange over health care, and the health care bill itself, […]
Barack Obama’s “Yes, we can” motto has been immortalized and satirized in online music videos over the past week. This video instead salutes Ronald Reagan for his can-do faith in Americans to succeed without their government. via Eyeblast.tv.
Television show Host Glenn Beck showed the following video on his program today. We posted it for those who would like to see it in it’s entirety. Our Headline: How is this Mocking the Bible when he quoted provisions from the Bible? President Obama stated that he attended a Christian Church for nearly 20 years. Anyone with a basic grasp of Christian theology knows that the Law in the Old […]
The Republican Study Committee has unveiled a great ad contrasting what Republicans believe and what Democrats believe. Juxtaposing one of Reagan’s great speeches with the words of the Democrats of today, the ad shows how Republicans venerate freedom while Democrats venerate their own power and an ability to command and control all of us. As Reagan said, “Those Voices Don’t Speak For The Rest of Us.” The Reagan part was […]
However CNS News reported today that the Obama Administration preferred the release of Meghahi on compassionate grounds.
The Obama administration on Monday released the text of the LeBaron letter. It says Megrahi’s release on compassionate grounds would be “far preferable” than his return to Libya under a prisoner transfer agreement, but also sets two important conditions to this – he would have to remain in Scotland under supervision, and Scotland would have to release “the results of independent and comprehensive medical exams clearly establishing that Megrahi’s life expectancy is less than three months.” The full text of the letter is here.
The document, acquired by a well-placed US source, threatens to undermine US President Barack Obama’s claim last week that all Americans were “surprised, disappointed and angry” to learn of Megrahi’s release.
Scottish ministers viewed the level of US resistance to compassionate release as “half-hearted” and a sign it would be accepted.
The US has tried to keep the letter secret, refusing to give permission to the Scottish authorities to publish it on the grounds it would prevent future “frank and open communications” with other governments.
In the letter, sent on August 12 last year to Scottish First Minister Alex Salmond and justice officials, Mr LeBaron wrote that the US wanted Megrahi to remain imprisoned in view of the nature of the crime.
Harry Reid and Sharron Angle were the boogeymen in the backdrop of this week’s political conventions in Las Vegas, with activists on the liberal and conservative side of the spectrum setting their sights on defeating the other. Reid (D-NV) and Angle (R-NV) each spent less than two hours addressing their respective groups — Netroots Nation and RightOnline — but their electoral showdown was high on the agenda at each.
Shirley Sherrod may have found an unlikely ally: Glenn Beck. Beck defended the USDA appointee, who resigned after Big Government posted a controversial video clip of a speech she gave to the NAACP earlier this year. In the clip, she described an incident when she debated how much to help a white farmer in need of assistance, though she has said that her remarks were taken out of context. Beck […]
The NAACP and the Congressional Black Caucus do not want racial harmony. They want political victory, and the race card is their Strativarius. Three months later, the NAACP decided to “double-down” on the fabricated “”Tea Party/racism” narrative and has the gall to include the disproved Capitol Hill “N Word” non-incident as their formal condemnation of the Tea Party. Simply by snapping its figures, the mainstream media again parroted lies. The […]
Two minutes of fun from the Dallas Tea Party, and not the first time they’ve used YouTube to torment MSNBC’s heavily white talent roster. Even so, isn’t the big winner from this week’s dopey contretemps over alleged tea-party racism the NAACP? Granted, they’ve gotten a ton of pushback, but then that was always the point of passing that resolution — to start an ideological food fight that would drum up […]
